Big inning for Johnson, they score seven in the inning. Nicole Cassano RBI single makes it 3-2. Victoria Zatko gives Johnson a 4-3 lead and steals home to make it 5-3. Two-run double for Hannah Brogan and an RBI groundout for Bailey Rosenmeier. Johnson leads Carteret 8-3 after five innings.
Two runs come in on an error and it’s 8-5 Johnson.
Another run scores on a wild pitch and it’s 8-6 as we go to the bottom of the sixth inning.
Nicole Cassano helps her own cause with a leadoff solo home run to give Johnson a 9-6 lead.
Megan Tinger sends one past second base for a single, scoring Zatko to make it 10-6 Johnson.
Victoria Zatko had heads-up baserunning, took second and third base on wild pitches to set up the scoring chance.
