Johnson Crusaders Field Hockey Defeat New Egypt Warriors in NJSIAA North Jersey, Section 2, Group 1 First Round


CLARK, NJ-  The Johnson Crusaders varsity field hockey team experienced a turnaround all season long in offense, putting up 52 goals in the 2016 season coming into the state tournament.

That is two times more goals than last year, and they continued to add numbers to their red-hot offense.

The No. 4 seeded Crusaders faced off against the No. 13 seeded New Egypt Warriors Monday afternoon in the NJSIAA North Jersey, Section 2, Group 1 First Round matchup. The Crusaders scored early and often to get the job done.

The final score: Johnson 5, New Egypt 0.

The Crusaders now have 57 goals and 44 assists on the year, major improvements from 26 goals and 13 assists in 2015.

The Arthur L. Johnson HS Crusaders got goals from five different players.
