CLARK, NJ- Before their game Tuesday night, the Arthur L. Johnson High School Crusaders honored the upperclassmen on the team with a Senior Night ceremony on the field.
Nicole Cassano, Danielle Hartzler, Tina Palella, Brooke Vaccaro and Samantha Ianco were all honored in a pregame ceremony for their years of hard work and dedication to the program.
“Being part of Johnson girls soccer has been great,” Cassano said. “It’s all like a big family, we’ve always been there for each other. When we’re down, we’ll always push ourselves to do better.”
The girls earned praise from their head coach for the way they’ve carried the team throughout the entire season.
“They’ve done a nice job putting the team together,” Johnson first-year head coach Ken Leeder said. “They work hard, they have great attitudes and have been easy to coach. They perform well on the field, so it’s been an easy group of seniors to coach.”
