Governor Livingston Boys Basketball Falls to Scotch Plains-Fanwood 58-42 on Senior Night


BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ-  The Governor Livingston Highlanders boys varsity basketball program honored their 2018 seniors before taking the floor against the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Raiders Tuesday night in Berkeley Heights

Basketball players Jackson Dultz, Evan Reiner, Matt Schuman, Tyler McCulloch and Max Charbonneau, along with cheerleaders Ava Delargy, Nadine Trella and Nicholas Garabon were honored during a pregame ceremony, as they were recognized for their years of hard work and dedication as Highlander basketball and cheerleading varsity student athletes.

Coach Chris Loeffler took over the Governor Livingston Highlanders boys’ basketball program prior to the 2015/16 season when the current senior players were sophomores.

“Our program is where it is because of the work our seniors have put in since we got here,” Loeffler said. “They believed in us and trusted what we had to say.”

As for the game, the Highlanders took to the floor against the 13-2 Raiders, but after the opening minutes, couldn’t match the Raiders as the game rolled along, losing by a final score of 58-42.
