IRVINGTON, NJ- Irvington took on divisional rival Barringer and set the tone on the afternoon not on offense, but with the second a handoff was mishandled, setting up the Blue Knights deep in Bears territory. The Blue Knights shone, picking off three Bears passes and recovered the fumble, along with a thunderous outburst on the rushing game towards a 24-6 win.
The victory clinched the Super Football Conference-Freedom White Division for Irvington, the second straight divisional crown.
Zakee Swann (12 rushes, 132 yards, 1 TD) and Zahir Abdus-Salaam (10 rushes, 73 yards, 1 TD) anchored the rushing game for the Blue Knights, while quarterback Tayion Battle ran for a three-yard score.
