CLARK, NJ- Before their game Monday night, the Arthur L. Johnson High School Crusaders varsity field hockey team honored their senior players with a Senior Night ceremony on the field.
Co-captains Amy Wysocki, Jessica Lopez and goaltender Emma Francisco, along with seniors Danielle Nugent and Shelby Lynes were all honored during the pregame ceremony.
The group of seniors earned the praise of their head coach for their hard work and dedication to the program for their entire field hockey careers.
“[It’s been] my absolute pleasure [coaching these five seniors],” Johnson head coach Katrina Poskay said. “Every step of the way, every inch of the way, every minute of the day, I could not love those girls more.”
The one common theme the girls have found in the field hockey program was, in addition to the game itself, the friendships formed with others as the years have gone by.
