NORTH BRUNSWICK- Second-seeded North Brunswick took on seventh-seeded Trenton to open the NJSIAA Central Jersey, Group 5 playoffs. After allowing a pick-six on the first drive, the Raiders overwhelmed the Tornadoes by scoring 30 unanswered points that stretched into the third quarter. The win is the eighth straight for North Brunswick, the lone loss coming to No. 14 Sayreville in Week 1.
The Raiders offense was powered by star running back Myles Bailey, who came into action with 978 rushing yards and ten scores on the year. Quarterback Christian Petrillo has an another anchor for the Raiders offense, coming in with 12 touchdown passes and 756 passing yards.
North Brunswick will take on sixth-seeded Edison in the semifinals round on Friday, November 9 at 7:00 p.m.
