Arthur L. Johnson HS (Clark) Senior Vin Campbell Signs to Play Lacrosse at Div. II Mercy College

CLARK, NJ –  Arthur L. Johnson High School senior Vin Campbell will be taking his passion for lacrosse with him to Division 2 Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. next year, and Gianna Randazza of ALJ has signed to continue her softball career at Boston College.

“It’s really crazy to know where I’m spending the next four years of my life,” Campbell said. “But I’m glad to be a part of such a great school in Mercy and a great coaching staff with coach Levine. Signing today was really special and I was able to share it with my family and the three coaches that made me into who I am today in Coach DelConte, Coach Klimchak and Coach Van Bergen.”

Throughout his high school lacrosse career, Campbell played as one of four starting defensemen. A four-year varsity player, he will have earned a gold letter for his skill and dedication to the Crusaders lacrosse program.

In 2016, he scored one goal and earned one assist, while scooping up 52 ground balls.  In 2015, he was credited with 19 ground balls , with 29 in 2014.  He was a member of the 2014 ALJ varsity lacrosse team when it won the won the South, Group 1 state championship, the first state tournament win in program history.
